Global Warming: Physics and Its Outcome on the World People complain about hot summers, and to cold of winters, why it would still be snowing during May in North East, Ohio. These temperature changes could all be a result of one thing, global warming. Global warming is a change in temperature due to gases and solutions humans put into the environment. The gases and solutions effect the natural gases in the environment that maintain the temperatures around the world. Although that is how global warming is defined, it has a way greater effect than just temperature changes. The greenhouse effect is the exchange of incoming and outgoing radiation that warms the Earth; it is often referred to as the greenhouse effect because a greenhouse works in much the same way (LiveScience 1). The greenhouse effect , many laws due to physics, and consequences that effect the Earth are related to and caused by to global warming. Without the greenhouse effect we could not have weather; without green h ouse gases the atmosphere would not be able to cool in response to heating. The atmosphere would heat to a vertically -uniform temperature, which would inhibit vertical air currents. Which are ultimately what we would consider to be weather (WeatherQuestions). The atmosphere with gases absorbs the light the Earth gives off and that is how the it is heated, and the most abundant of these gases is carbon dioxide.
